This individual will prep heavy equipment and parts for paint.

• Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces, per specifications, prior to painting
• Clean all surfaces to ensure proper adherence
• Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints per specifications
• Erect scaffolding, movable, and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas
• Work on ladders to reach top of tall equipment
• Tape off areas when needed
• Clean up all equipment

• Must be able to troubleshoot problems
• Candidate must work well with others
• Requires strong attention to detail in department processes and procedures
• Requires the ability to comprehend and follow written work instructions
• Possess knowledge of and ability to identify fabrication industry metals
• Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continual improvement.

• Two plus years of related automotive or vocational truck operation and maintenance experience
• Strong communication skills
• Proven commitment to Safety

• Majority of work is performed in a shop and outside
• Must be able to work while exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or other fumes
• Must be able to work overtime as needed

• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42”, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout a 10-hour day, and up to 50 hours per week
• Must be able to safely operate carts, forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment of such nature
• Ability to walk and stand on concrete and/or uneven surfaces for at least 10 hours per day
