Job SummaryManually and using powered equipment, move tires and stock materials in and out of racked bins in a warehouse environment; perform other general labor as well as other duties as assigned by the manager. (You must not be afraid of heights, as use of an order picker at height is part of this position.)

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities- Operating a forklift and related equipment to load and unload trucks and move material within the warehouse.
- Review shipments and advise management of shortages or damaged shipments.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
- Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets, work tickets or handheld scanner.
- Maintain warehouse area in a neat and organized manner.
- Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
- Mechanical:
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. - Operation and Control:
Controlling operations of equipment or systems. - Time Management:
Managing one’s own time. - Extent Flexibility:
The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. - Static Strength:

Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and order pickers. - Performing General Physical

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The environment may or may not be air‑conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
EducationHigh school or equivalency, and/or related experience is preferred but not required. Experience operating a forklift is also preferred but not required.
