Location:
On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia
Your Day-to-Day as an Electronic Technician:
* Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment. At times, this may involve working in tight or confined spaces while wearing respiratory protection.
* Safely operate cranes, hoists, power tools, motorized equipment, and hand tools.
* Document daily activities in the SAP PM module.
* Follow specialized procedures while working in a radiological environment.
* Identify, repair, and replace faulty equipment using strong observational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
* Collaborate with coworkers and the Planning Department to locate parts and schedule necessary repairs.
* Adhere to and enforce all safety rules and guidelines.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate's degree in electronics, an Electrical Certificate, or a DPOR Trade Certification Card (Electrical Journeyman/Master).
* At least 6 years of industrial experience, or 4 years of industrial experience plus Journeyman experience.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering instructions.
* Proven experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment up to 480 V, 3-phase.
* Proven experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic instrumentation.
* Demonstrated experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing PLCs.
* Working knowledge of a CMMS such as SAP.
* Self-starter, team-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to obtain and maintain respirator qualifications.
* Willingness to attend training classes and seminars.
* Must be a U.S. citizen.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Preferred Additional Qualification(s)
* Knowledge of HVAC, Cryogenics, basic vacuum and leak detection.

Pay: $64,000 - $90,000
