Job RequirementsHigh School or GED equivalent
EPA certification required
HVAC certification preferred
CPO certification preferred.
Five years experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.
Must be able to pass drug & background screen.
Must be available to rotate emergency on-call responsibilities, with reliable transportation.

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Lynchburg, VA responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the apartment community. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing equipment and building issues, and completing repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and structural components. The role involves executing preventive maintenance schedules, responding promptly to resident service requests, and ensuring common areas and grounds are well maintained.
The Maintenance Technician will collaborate with the property management team to prioritize work orders, support unit turns for new move-ins, and adhere to safety standards and company policies. This position may require participation in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs.
- Strong skills in Maintenance & Repair and Industrial Maintenance for residential or multifamily properties.
- Experience with Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable operation of building systems.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues efficiently and safely.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.
- Ability to use hand and power tools, follow safety procedures, and read work orders and technical instructions.
- Effective communication and customer service skills when interacting with residents and team members.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications (e.g., HVAC, CPO, EPA) are preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with willingness to participate in on-call rotation as needed.
