- The Welder, Level 2 at AMG INC is responsible for performing welding tasks to assemble and fabricate metal structures and components according to specifications. This role requires a skilled professional with experience in welding techniques and the ability to work with various metals and welding equipment to ensure high-quality and precise welds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding operations using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to assemble and fabricate metal structures and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and plan work accordingly.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Maintain welding equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
- Continuously improve welding skills and techniques through training and development opportunities.
Required
Education:
-Must be a US Citizen and 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a vocational training program in welding or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated experience with various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Proven track record of working with different metals and alloys, such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using welding tools and equipment, including grinders, cutters, and measuring instruments.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in executing welding tasks.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
