The Assistant Manager is a full‑time position that assists the club manager in the oversight of club operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience. You will be heavily involved with team member onboarding and training, lead the team through task completion, and drive the success of club priorities and KPI goals.
Responsibilities- Lead team members to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Model the behaviors to provide an outstanding member experience; coach and inspire others to do the same.
- Assist in resolving employee concerns and provide backup staffing support as needed.
- Manage inventory systems for cleaning supplies, ordering club supplies and retail product, and track KPI to identify strengths and opportunities.
- Support the Club Manager with hiring and onboarding new team members and assess and assist in emergency situations.
- Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club, assisting with check‑ins, member concerns, and phone inquiries.
- Perform membership related functions such as sign‑ups, contact/billing updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
- Conduct prospective member calls and tours; assess their membership needs.
- Execute retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals.
- Perform regular cleaning and sanitizing of all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities, including communal spaces and assigned areas.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter‑free following the routine schedule.
- Perform comprehensive walks of all club areas, promptly fixing safety or policy issues and addressing cleanliness concerns.
- Promptly address maintenance and facility concerns such as broken or missing equipment and toxic chemical exposure.
- Maintain communication with team members in person or over the phone throughout the shift.
- 6‑12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Continual standing and moving throughout the club to accomplish tasks.
- Continual communication in person or on the phone.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
- Moving self in different positions, including bending and twisting.

$13.00 per hour.
