Shipping Clerk

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient processing of outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery to our customers. • Prepare and package orders using appropriate materials to ensure products are secure for transit.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload shipments.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements accurately.
• Pick, pack, and fulfill customer orders efficiently in an e‑commerce setting.
• Manage stock levels through regular stocking, inventory checks, and updating MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400.
• Ensure all shipments comply with safety standards and company policies for shipping and receiving procedures.
• Assist in maintaining organized warehouse distribution areas for optimal workflow and safety.

• Prior warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
• Valid forklift certification; experience operating reach trucks and pallet jacks preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 or similar ERP systems.
• Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and inventory calculations.
• Experience with order fulfillment, picking, packing, and order picking techniques in an e‑commerce environment.
• Ability to load and unload shipments efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and loaders.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced setting.
