Brown & Brown is one of the largest insurance brokerages in the United States and we are actively recruiting talent for our Lynden office! We're seeking a proactive and collaborative administrative professional as an Administrative Technician to support our Personal Lines and Commercial Lines group.
This is the seat that keeps the office running. You'll handle the behind-the-scenes work that lets our account managers take care of clients — processing renewals, tracking down late payments with carriers, managing incoming mail and documents, and supporting our claims desk. You'll primarily support Personal Lines, with some Commercial Lines support as well.

What you'll do- Cover reception — phones, walk-ins, and back-up for front-desk operations
- Process incoming mail, faxes, department email, and client and commission checks
- Process paper renewals and cancellations in our agency management system
- Monitor and follow up on late payments, working directly with carriers
- Retrieve incoming memos and documents from carrier sites
- Support the claims desk, including claim closeouts
- Back up the rest of the tech admin team
- Assist with special projects as they come up
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A proactive working style — this role runs best when you see what needs doing and do it
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, and comfortable prioritizing when the day gets interrupted
- Strong communication skills, in person and on the phone
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Prior insurance or office experience is preferred but not required — we've hired and promoted people from outside the industry

Pay Range: $22 - $24 hourly
