We have an immediate opening for a Reporting Analyst at Lynden Door in Lynden, WA.
Role OverviewThe Reporting Analyst supports business leaders and core team members by maintaining costing, price guides and other sales tools, and by providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis of business operations. The role offers the opportunity to drive our ongoing data transformation and enhance our platforms and business processes.
Do you love turning raw numbers into decisions that actually move a business? We’re looking for a Reporting Analyst who is comfortable writing SQL queries, leveraging Power BI, loves clean data, performs reasoned analysis, and appreciates high-functioning Excel-based tools.
HoursFull‑time, in‑office, 8:00–5:00 Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities- Perform margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives.
- Own and maintain Costing Books alongside Estimating, Sales, and Purchasing.
- Manage Residential price books – including deep‑dive margin and price gap reviews.
- Manage Commercial/Architectural Price Guides and multipliers.
- Leverage Power BI to create and maintain production reporting.
- Work with a broad range of stakeholders to understand and document their data needs.
- Establish and maintain connections between data sources and solutions.
- Employ reporting and data modeling best practices.
- Partner with stakeholders across the company to understand and document their data needs.
- Work with Production to build consistent costing methodologies for material, labor, and freight.
- Surface margin performance trends tied to mix shifts and volume commitments.
- Build ad‑hoc reports and dig into data issues – researching root causes, correcting master data, and documenting solutions.
- Maintain department KPIs and help evolve how the team experiences reporting.
- Knowledge and experience writing SQL and leveraging Power BI.
- Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
- A problem‑solving, analytical mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across teams and cultures.
- A collaborative, service‑minded approach to work.
- You’ll own the numbers that matter. From margin analysis to KPI tracking, your work shapes pricing strategy and business decisions.
- Variety – solving pricing puzzles, investigating data discrepancies, and translating findings into action across multiple business functions.
- Excel is your playground. This role rewards advanced Excel skills – building, modeling, and collaborating at a level that goes well beyond most user’s knowledge.
- Ad‑hoc analysis means chasing down root causes, cleaning up master data, and documenting lasting solutions.
- Cross‑functional work – partner with Estimating, Sales, Purchasing, and Production, giving you visibility into how data connects every part of the business.
- You’ll help shape how the company's platforms and reporting processes grow and improve – not just maintain the status quo.
- Hourly Wage $25–32/Hr DOE
- Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) with employer contributions $500–$1,500 annually
