Compensation

Regenis is looking for a talented Field Engineer to join the team full-time. This position pays $90k - $105k per year depending on experience.

Job Summary

This position provides technical engineering and troubleshooting services for anaerobic digester and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project consulting, engineering, procurement, and construction. The successful Field Engineer will accurately gather information from project sites to define and assemble the scope, schedule and budget for new or capital improvement projects and ongoing maintenance projects while maintaining safety protocols, implementing site procedures and participating in or managing project commissioning.

Responsibilities include supporting new construction, operations and maintenance projects, equipment design, troubleshooting, and project execution while collaborating with project owners, subcontractors, operators, and internal teams.

This role requires the ability to manage engineering responsibilities within company standards and applicable regulations. Up to 50% travel within the United States is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and evaluate technical information from project sites to identify operational and infrastructure issues and support development of effective engineering solutions.
  • Assist with process and mechanical design activities including equipment selection, piping layouts, process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and detailed mechanical drawings.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis including heat/material balances, equipment sizing, and process evaluations.
  • Troubleshoot operational and maintenance issues, working directly with engineering and O&M teams to implement corrective actions and system improvements.
  • Review vendor quotes, equipment specifications, and third-party engineering deliverables to ensure proper application, sizing, and code compliance.
  • Support project execution through scope review, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, commissioning, and field oversight activities.
  • Coordinate with project owners, subcontractors, vendors, dairy personnel, and internal teams to communicate project status and ensure successful execution.
  • Identify project risks, gaps, and efficiency opportunities and assist in developing mitigation and improvement plans.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, as-built drawings, safety records, and other engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in developing SOPs, safety processes, and Process Safety Management (PSM) activities including participation in PHAs.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for projects throughout the United States, including travel to project locations.
