The Cold Storage Forklift/Pallet Jack Operator is responsible for driving and operating Enfield Farms Forklift/Pallet Jacks in cold storage, dry storage, and production facilities, and for helping load and unload shipments manually if necessary. Must be 18+ years old.

• Transport finished goods/raw materials to and from buildings and freezers throughout Enfield farm.
• Complete pallet inspections.
• Load and unload product from trailers.
• Inspect and clean the inside of trailers before and after each use.
• Maintain housekeeping in freezers, loading docks, staging areas, and dry storage areas.
• Operate tracking scanners and understand the tracking process.
• Work as a team.
• Communicate effectively and understand the importance of good communication.
• Be aware of surroundings and report issues to supervisor.

Works in low temperatures of a cold storage facility when loading finished goods and raw material. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and extreme cold. Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, high places, near toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, risk of electric shock. Requires use of safety equipment, including cold storage wear, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, etc.

Frequently works in moderately loud environments.

Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk or hear. Occasionally climb or balance.
