Machine Operator Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham is hiring an experienced machine operator for a family-owned company in Ferndale. This company is committed to excellence in quality and service for all of its customers. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery, inspecting finished products for quality, and ensuring production goals are met in a safe, fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00/HR

Shifts:

• Days Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
• Evening Rotating schedule, 3 on 3 off, schedule will be made with the company

Position Type: 3-month position, but could lead to a long-term position for the right candidate

Job Duties &

Responsibilities include:

• Operate and monitor a variety of production machinery, including rewinder, flat folding, and netting machines.
• Set up, start, operate, and shut down production equipment following established procedures.
• Assist with mixing resin and loading material into hoppers for the netting production process.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality standards and production goals are met.
• Change finished product rolls approximately every 35 minutes and verify roll lengths for accuracy.
• Assist with wrapping, folding, packaging, and labeling finished products for shipment. Perform quality inspections to identify defects and ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Package large staples and other finished products as needed.
• Organize materials and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse and production environment.
• Work closely with team members while cross-training on multiple machines and production processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and report equipment or quality concerns promptly.
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 45 pounds throughout the shift.
