Job Summary
Z Recyclers is seeking a skilled and motivated Customer Service & Recycling Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring excellent customer service while coordinating dispatching, logistics, yard communication, and scale operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay & Schedule- $28–$32 per hour DOE
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:45 PM
- Full-time position
- Greet walk-in customers with a professional and positive attitude
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with inquiries
- Complete service orders, purchase orders, and will calls for metal sales
- Manage customer accounts and maintain customer satisfaction
- Coordinate equipment needs and customer-related requests
- Initiate trucking dispatch requests using company software
- Organize and coordinate dispatch schedules with truck drivers
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding schedule changes, operational needs, and issues
- Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and operational support
Prepare border paperwork for truck crossings into Canada - Create bills of lading for local deliveries
- Communicate important operational information to yard personnel
- Assist with directing traffic flow throughout the yard
- Observe and help coordinate yard operations to maintain efficiency and safety
- Weigh vehicles and recyclable materials using scale software
- Process custmer payments by cash or check
- Grade recyclable materials
- Ensure outbound trucks meet legal weight requirements
- 5+ years of customer service experience preferred
- 5+ years of operations, dispatch, or logistics experience preferred
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate operational logistics
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks thoroughly
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general electronic communication tools
- Positive attitude and ability to function well under pressure
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to work in an active yard and office environment
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced operational setting
