Location: New Forest

We are pleased to present an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable company in Southampton. This HGV Technician role offers the chance to work within a well-established workshop environment, supporting a dedicated team committed to excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair. Benefits:
  • Competitive salary up to £49,000 based on experience and skillset
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE) approximately £50,000, including paid overtime and occasional Saturday work at half pay
  • Working hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00, with paid lunch and coffee breaks, plus team-cooked lunches

Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Repairing and maintaining a fleet of approximately 20 trucks, predominantly Renault
  • Diagnosing faults and addressing issues with a focus on quality repairs
  • Performing servicing, routine maintenance, and fault rectification
  • Supporting fleet cover during occasional Saturday mornings
  • Maintaining shared tools and equipment in a collaborative workshop environment
Requirements of a HGV Technician:
  • Fully qualified HGV technician with a Class 1 licence preferred; newly qualified or progressing individuals with the right attitude will also be considered
  • Experience working with heavy goods vehicles and trailers
  • Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and mechanical repairs
  • Full UK driving licence (Class 1 preferred)
  • Positive attitude, loyalty, and strong team player mentality
  • IRTEC certification and VOSA Etech training are advantageous but not essential
  • Own tools desired; communal tools will be provided and maintained
