Accounts Receivable Specialist

Support and oversee daily Accounts Receivable operations while contributing to broader accounting activities including reporting, reconciliations, and financial close processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and improving operational efficiency.

• Generate, update, and review customer invoices within an ERP system
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with monthly and year-end close activities
• Apply incoming payments to outstanding balances and investigate discrepancies
• Analyze and resolve billing issues such as over payments, underpayments, and mismatched transactions
• Collaborate with internal teams to address outstanding receivables and account concerns
• Communicate professionally with external partners regarding account balances and payment inquiries
• Support process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and controls within AR functions
• Assist with Accounts Payable tasks including vendor setup, check processing, and reconciliations
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations and maintain petty cash records
• Participate in system updates, testing, and optimization initiatives

• Experience with Workday Financials is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or accounts receivable functions
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies efficiently
• Strong communication skills for both internal collaboration and external interactions
