As the Commissioning Specialist Supervisor, you will be responsible for mentoring and leading the execution of the office commissioning specialist group. You will support the Operations and Engineering Manager while serving as a field change agent to help improve overall communication, project execution, and efficiency with the Commissioning Specialist.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Day-To-Day Responsibilities

Support the local office Engineering Management as an SME and escalation resource in coordination with local Operations Management
Provide leadership and guidance to local commissioning specialist team
Share, teach, and reinforce the use of AVI‑SPL standard practice across the team
Assist the project management team in proper project planning and forecasting, schedule development, and resource needs
Mentor and support Commissioning Specialists through their development plans and training; provide direction where deficiencies exist
Act as an escalation point for the team to help resolve project issues
Contribute to and support process improvement initiatives
Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
Test point‑to‑point functionality of systems, integrated systems, and perform troubleshooting
Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
Load, test, and troubleshoot control system programs (AMX/Crestron/QSC) and code for DSP systems
Make minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer
Fine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performance
Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a network
Provide Project Manager documented test results from system testing and commissioning
Perform client training and final job documentation where needed
Act as a customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
Create, track, and complete a project Punchlist

Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI‑SPL driving standards
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice‑To‑Haves

Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of AV Installation experience preferred
A four‑year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience
Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Tele Presence, etc.) – both hardware and software
