Project Manager, Environmental Engineer

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of municipal infrastructure and private development projects from concept through construction. This role involves managing technical design, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, overseeing budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead conceptual designs, detailed site layouts, and construction documents, including grading, drainage, stormwater systems, and utility infrastructure
• Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and permit-related documentation
• Plan and manage project execution by developing engineering recommendations, evaluating design alternatives, and providing accurate cost estimates
• Track project finances, monitor budgets, manage change orders, and control project costs throughout all phases
• Prepare and administer bidding and procurement documents in accordance with municipal, state, and federal requirements
• Supervise, mentor, and support engineers and technical staff to ensure quality, consistency, and professional growth
• Collaborate with internal teams such as surveying, planning, GIS, traffic, and construction management, as well as external consultants and stakeholders

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering, focused on municipal infrastructure and/or land development projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Proven ability to manage projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams
