Geographic Information System Specialist

RCS Staffing is seeking a talented, energetic, and self-motivated GIS Specialist with strong communication skills to join our clients team. This role involves developing and maintaining GIS applications, managing geographic data, and supporting engineering and construction management teams.

The role is a full-time, direct hire, office based position in Lyndhurst, NJ.

As a GIS Specialist, YOU will:

• Develop and maintain ArcGIS web applications and dashboards
• Review projects completed by Technicians and Interns
• Provide Project Management support
• Create, maintain, and organize geographic and tabular data in various geodatabase settings
• Deliver final static and interactive mapping outputs
• Perform fieldwork as needed in all weather conditions
• Research information materials and data sources
• Collaborate with GIS Manager and Survey/Geospatial Department Head
• Provide GIS support to Engineers, Planning Professionals, and Construction Managers

YOU are the ideal GIS Specialist candidate if you have:

• A Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a GIS-specific role
• Proficiency in Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, Arc Map, Arc Catalog, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey
  123, Experience Builder, Dashboards)
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Strong communication, verbal, and technical writing skills
• A valid driver’s license (or the ability to obtain a NJ driver’s license at the time of employment)
• Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and solution-focused mindset

It’s a BONUS if you have:

• Field experience using a GPS collection device
• AutoCAD or Civil3D experience
• Experience interpreting land record data, deeds, and filed maps
• Interest in pursuing GISP certification
