At L.L.Bean, we are searching for a Retail Store Manager to lead our store located at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, OH (Cleveland).
Position PurposeDrives business results, develops talent and ensures delivery of the legendary L.L.Bean customer experience for an assigned outdoor lifestyle concept retail store. Communicates and drives Retail strategic initiatives; accountable for P & L performance. Promotes the company's core values of Outdoors Heritage, Integrity, Service, Respect, Perseverance and Safe and Healthy Living to uphold brand integrity.
Responsibilities- Drive business results in the assigned store, setting clear direction and communicating consistent priorities.
- Inspire and guide team(s) to reach goals and achieve objectives, leveraging and assigning resources (payroll, expenses, people) to meet goals.
- Create a disciplined culture focused on excellence in execution and ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures, including Human Resource Management, Loss Prevention, and Safety.
- Ensure asset protection and supply control contributing to profit and loss management; take personal accountability for individual results and team decisions.
- Develop talent in the assigned store, setting high standards and clear accountability, fostering a deep connection between the team and the brand.
- Provide frequent and comprehensive performance feedback (written and verbal), address underperformance with urgency, and identify high‑potential employees for succession planning.
- Model inclusive and fair hiring practices and foster an inclusive work environment, actively listening to diverse perspectives and encouraging respectful communication.
- Deliver the L.L.Bean customer experience and drive the elevation of GUIDE/Manager On Duty behaviors.
- Ensure the store actively promotes the Learn, Try, Buy and Enjoy concept through outdoor discovery school walk‑on adventures, clinics, and demonstrations.
- Use customer feedback to influence changes that enhance the customer experience; identify and influence improvements in visual presentation to maximize profitability.

Education and ExperienceMinimum 2‑Year Associate’s Degree; 5+ years experience as a store manager in a relevant traffic, volume, and unit intensity location. Store Manager experience with an apparel retailer is a must.
