The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of the company, working closely with management and vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and forecasts
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines
- Process payroll and related employee financial records
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
- Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy and improvements
- Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in the construction, landscaping, or service industry
- Knowledge of payroll processing
- CPA qualification or working towards it
