Arts & Letters Scaffold Creator Team
Arts & Letters is a comprehensive K–8 English language arts curriculum designed to empower educators, inspire joyful learning, and ignite student inquiry. The purpose of this application is to recruit a team of teachers and special educators in the 6-8 grade span to develop scaffolds for Arts & Letters New Read Assessments. This is an internal posting only. Starts Spring 2026.
The district is seeking 3 educators to work as a team developing scaffolded Arts & Letters New Read assessments to support students who may need different entry points to access the curriculum. The grade 6-8 teachers who apply, interview, and get accepted for this experience will receive $40/hr with a maximum of 25 hours.
The job responsibilities are as follows:
- Be reflective and open-minded about ELA instruction as a collaborative problem solver.
- Create coherent, cohesive scaffolds for each New Reads assessment within their grade level, while maintaining the rigor of the texts and tasks being scaffolded.
- Meet monthly as a team with the instructional coach to receive feedback and edit scaffolds as needed.
- Upload the developed scaffolded materials to middle school curriculum resource documents to share with teachers.
