Overview

The College of Communication and Design at Lynn University is seeking an adjunct faculty member for Film. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses. The college also hosts a variety of graduate programs leading to M.S. and M.F.A. degrees.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an undergraduate adjunct faculty in the College of Communication and Design.
  • Provide academic and professional advice to students.
  • Depending on the successful candidate’s area of expertise, teach courses such as:
    • Film Appreciation
    • Film Editing
    • Studio Production
    • Documentary
    • Interpersonal Communication
    • Public Speaking
    • Organizational Communication
    • Persuasion and Propaganda
    • Communication Analysis and Criticism
    • Communication Theories
Qualifications

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Ability to teach introductory and intermediate communication and design courses.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellence in teaching at the college level.
  • Ability to work successfully with students of diverse backgrounds.

Minimum qualification:

  • Master’s degree required.
