Job Details

Provide leadership in the ongoing development of an assessment and accountability system to monitor student achievement and evaluate the educational programs implemented to improve outcomes for students in Lynn Public Schools.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Massachusetts State Educator License and experience in an educational setting, or a minimum of four years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Massachusetts regulations and the state accountability system.
Performance Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver dashboards and visualizations that highlight trends and provide actionable insights to district stakeholders, emphasizing equitable outcomes.
  • Manage organization and warehousing of key data sets and historical analyses.
  • Lead district instructional initiatives and support curriculum implementation and assessment.
  • Facilitate district data meetings and oversee data cycles in support of MTSS.
  • Develop district‑wide systems and shared resources/communications to support assessment and instruction.
  • Serve as District Test Coordinator overseeing MCAS, College Board exams, AP exams, and all district assessments at all levels.
  • Lead implementation and management of district assessment platforms and support the development of common assessments.
  • Use statistical and data analysis tools to examine educational data, identify disparities, and uncover systemic inequities requiring intervention.
  • Provide written reports and recommendations to stakeholders based on analysis and interpretation of state and local assessment results.
  • Guide district and school leaders and school‑based data teams in acquiring knowledge of methodology, test development techniques, and resources.
  • Provide professional development to school‑based data teams on methodology and assessment techniques.
  • Oversee procurement, implementation, and evaluation of statistical software.
  • Lead ongoing evaluation of district‑wide programs and grant‑related activities.
  • Prepare accountability reports for the Superintendent, district, and school leaders.
  • Assist schools with comprehensive improvement plans and professional growth plans for principals.
  • Facilitate collaboration and use of data to inform tiered instruction for all learners.
  • Support development of the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation system, including SMARTIE goals and district‑determined progress measures.
  • Maintain current knowledge in data analysis, data privacy/security, research methodology, data visualization, education policy, project management, curriculum, instruction, special education, and English language learners.
  • Oversee analytics, research, and evaluation of district programs.
  • Focus on curriculum‑aligned data to support schools in improving outcomes and guiding continuous improvement cycles.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Superintendent/Deputy Superintendent of Schools.
