Biliterate Educational Consultant (ELA/Reading) – Per Diem – National
National Account role requiring extensive travel across the United States. Must be bilingual/biliterate in Spanish at a near‑native level and willing to travel Monday–Friday.
Travel RequirementsTravel up to 80% of the time. Own personal transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Travel includes overnight stays and use of car, plane, and/or public transportation.
Responsibilities- Facilitate high‑quality professional development, training, and support for teachers, coaches, and school leaders.
- Adjust professional development workshops within specified parameters to fit participants’ needs.
- Serve teachers by coordinating on‑site product training for i‑Ready and other Common Core products to impact classroom learning.
- Help ensure equity in the classroom by delivering PD courses to teachers, coaches, and leaders.
- Provide tailored on‑site support, such as lesson‑planning, pacing assistance, data analysis for instruction, and leadership guidance.
- Engage in internal cycle of professional improvement and development, including being observed, receiving feedback, and coaching.
- Track and submit detailed training notes and complete all assignments timely.
- Present a professional image at all times to customers and prospects.
- Biliterate in Spanish and English, able to lead meetings and produce high‑quality documentation in both languages.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching ELA/Reading, coaching teachers, and providing professional development.
- Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level (6–12) or a Bachelor’s/Master’s in ELA or Reading is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Common Core State Standards for ELA and Reading (grades K–8) and related practice standards.
- Comfortable using digital tools, online assessments, and applying data to instruction.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and ability to apply them to PD.
- Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, communication, time‑management, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Office programs and online meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Web Ex). Ability to work independently and as part of a cohort.
Hourly rate $35–$65 depending on assignment type, with travel points retention, mileage reimbursement, and company‑provided laptop. Compensation for PD delivery, internal training, travel time, and expenses.
