Early Childhood Playgroup Facilitator – Part‑time, up to 20 hours per week, $22 per hour.

The district serves approximately 17,000 students across 29 schools, including one Early Childhood Center, 17 Elementary Schools, 3 Middle Schools, 2 Comprehensive High Schools, one Vocational High School, an Early College High School, a STEAM Academy and other specialized schools.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the CFCE Team to plan and facilitate playgroups for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Partner with Lynn Public Schools and external agencies (libraries, preschools, early intervention, WIC, food pantries, etc.).
  • Plan culturally and linguistically appropriate early‑learning activities.
  • Create an environment that encourages parental participation.
  • Maintain accurate records and sign‑in sheets.
  • Conduct outreach to families and the community.
  • Refer families to support services as needed.
  • Assist families with the ASQ assessment.
  • Attend required trainings and CFCE meetings.
  • Model appropriate child‑behavior expectations and demonstrate basic child‑development knowledge.
  • Use organization and time‑management skills.
  • Perform duties assigned by the CFCE Coordinator.
Qualifications
  • Early childhood experience.
  • Urban experience preferred.
  • Bilingual or biliterate preferred.
Other Requirements

Valid driver’s license (preferred) and willingness to work nights and weekends on occasion.

Basic computer skills (typing, conferencing) required.

Successfully complete pre‑employment physical, drug test, National Criminal Background Check (NCBC) and Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) before start date.
