To assist the teacher achieve teaching objectives by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels of the class as a whole.

• Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher
• Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills
• Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher
• Check notebooks, correct papers, and supervise testing and makeup work, as assigned by the teacher
• Assist with large group activities such as reading aloud and storytelling
• Alert the regular teacher to any program or special information about an individual student; communicate with the classroom teacher about concerns regarding students
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information

Principal and Classroom Teacher

• As negotiated with Lynn School Committee and Lynn Teachers Union / Paraprofessionals Unit
• 180 days per year

Starting salary is $24.89 per hour
. Salary will be adjusted pending verification of additional college credits.
