• Valid license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Elementary 1-6
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university;
  Master’s Degree preferred.

• Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children in order to effectively problem solve
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders
• Urban experience preferred
• Ability to meet the expectations of the Massachusetts Standards and Indicators of Effective Teaching Practice

The (CIT) is a teacher leader who promotes student and teacher growth in learning. The CIT coordinates with medical and mental health providers to transition students in and out of the program. The CIT works collaboratively with teachers to implement a quality research-based reading program that can be differentiated for student needs.

• Planning and implementing standards-based lesson planning with clear objectives
• Modeling and coaching effective teaching strategies and techniques
• Providing appropriate and effective learning experiences for students from a wide range of socioeconomic levels and cultural backgrounds
• Using a variety of instructional strategies appropriate for teaching students from diverse backgrounds with different learning styles and needs
• Designing and demonstrating differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Using a variety of formal and informal assessments to accurately measure student progress toward mastery of grade-level standards and to modify further instruction
