Geotechnical Engineer

Geotechnical Engineer (0-5 years of Experience)

GM2 is seeking an entry- to junior-level geotechnical engineer with up to five years of experience for one of our MA, NH locations. The successful candidate must have, or be close to obtaining, an EIT certification or MS degree with a focus in geotechnical engineering. Experience with geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, determining geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock, and geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction is preferred.

Dam safety experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

Monitoring geotechnical field investigations and construction activities

Preparing exploration logs and daily site visit reports

Assisting with geotechnical engineering analyses

Assisting with preparation of proposals, technical reports, and specifications
