Assistant Chef

As an Assistant Chef at Goodwins Hall Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of food service and meal preparation within the home.

Nestled in a quiet area at the bottom of Goodwins Road, our 76‑bedroom care home is known for its beautiful fountain centrepiece at the entrance.

Our sought‑after care home provides a variety of high‑quality care, whilst boasting a full activities schedule and amazing facilities. Our team at Goodwins Hall are dedicated, committed and caring and constantly strive to ensure all of our residents lead happy and fulfilling lives.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the Assistant Chef will support the team by ensuring the catering services and residential dining experience is of the highest standard and quality.

£13.37 per hour.

35 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

• Providing a high‑quality dining experience by promoting choice and dignity to the residents of the home with the services we provide
• Liaise with residents to ensure they are happy with the food and beverages being delivered within the home
• Ensure the nutritional content of the meals provided cater for the dietary needs of all residents.
• Assist the Head Chef with all regulatory and statutory requirements are met and company policies and procedures are adhered to.

• Minimum of two years catering experience working within a kitchen environment is essential.
• Exposure to working within a care environment is highly advantageous.
