Responsibilities- Process and manage patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of care
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations for referrals and specialist visits
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and external providers to facilitate smooth referral workflows
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Follow up on pending referrals and track outcomes to ensure continuity of patient care
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding referral status in a professional and empathetic manner
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve referral‑related issues promptly
- 1+ years of experience in a medical office, referral coordination, or healthcare administrative role
- Familiarity with insurance verification, prior authorization, and managed care processes
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑first attitude
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Bilingual (English/Khmer) is a a plus in serving our diverse patient population but not mandatory
