Rehab Aide

• Assist in providing Physical Therapy services to patients at New England Baptist's Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Chestnut Hill under the guidance of a Licensed Physical Therapist
• Support a mixed patient population including Spine Center patients, post-operative patients, and patients with general orthopedic injuries
• Provide delegated treatments, routine exercises, functional activities, flexibility and strength measurements under therapist guidance
• Instruct patients on correct exercise form and proper equipment usage
• Orient new patients to equipment and its use
• Document patient performance in daily flow sheets
• Report patient responses to treatment to the primary therapist
• Maintain departmental supply inventory
• Assist with telephone answering, copying materials, and other office duties
• Support infection control by changing linen, cleaning mats and equipment, and clearing clutter
• Utilize free time productively
• Travel to the Dedham Outpatient Care Center as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in a related field such as Exercise Physiology or Athletic Training
• American Heart Association Heart Saver certification or BLS required
• Ability to work under the guidance and direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist
• Ability to travel to New England Baptist's Outpatient Care Center in Dedham on an as-needed basis
• Ability to provide patient instruction, document performance, report patient responses, maintain supplies, perform administrative duties, and comply with infection control procedures
