Job Summary

Join a collaborative Spine and Pain Management team dedicated to helping patients find relief, restore function, and feel supported throughout their care journey. In this serene suburban setting, our experienced clinicians provide advanced, research-backed surgical and non-surgical spine care for conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.

Our Pain Management Service delivers compassionate, team-based care for patients experiencing acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain. Through a multimodal and multidisciplinary approach, we create personalized treatment plans designed to reduce pain and help patients function as independently as possible.

You will support providers and care teams with both clinical and administrative needs, help prepare patients for visits, document important health information, and keep patient flow moving throughout the day. What

You'll Do
  • Welcome and room patients, prepare exam rooms and equipment, and help ensure patients feel informed and comfortable.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, height, weight, medical history, and other relevant information in the medical record.
  • Support physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other members of the care team to promote efficient, high-quality patient care.
  • Explain treatment procedures, medications, diet instructions, and provider guidance while reinforcing patient education.
  • Assist with scheduling, patient flow, phone support, insurance forms, and general office responsibilities.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, including blood or tissue samples, and perform phlebotomy if competency is demonstrated.
  • Maintain supplies and inventory, including immunizations, while monitoring expiration dates.
  • Administer immunizations when applicable and when certification or required experience criteria are met.
  • Support quality and safety initiatives, including patient identification standards and hand hygiene.
  • Assist with onboarding and day-to-day support for junior Medical Assistants.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
  • 1-2 years of direct Medical Assistant experience or medical field work required.
  • Basic Life Support certification preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Ability to take vital signs, obtain manual blood pressure readings, and collect specimens as appropriate.
  • Comfort using electronic health record systems and medical office software.
  • Strong time-management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
