At Collaborative for Educational Services (CES), we are looking for dedicated bilingual individuals to serve as a critical link between families and educational support. As an Interpreter/Translator, you won’t just be translating words—you’ll be building trust, fostering understanding, and empowering students to succeed.

What you’ll do
  • Facilitate Connection:
    Provide interpretation (in-person, via phone, or video) between families and staff.
  • Empower Families:
    Explain the nuances of the program to ensure students get the resources they need.
  • Coordinate:
    Respond promptly to scheduling needs and maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate:
    Work closely with your supervisor to ensure the highest quality of support.
Qualifications
  • Language Expertise:
    Fluency in English and at least one of the following - Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole and/or K’iche’ (Qiché).
  • Tech Savvy:
    Access to reliable technology that supports Google Meet and Whats App.
  • Cultural Competence:
    The ability to converse effectively with youth and adults from diverse backgrounds.
  • Reliability:
    Ability to pass a CORI screening and travel between site locations if required.

    Flexible hours, including potential evenings.
  • Commitment:
    Part-time (typically 2–10 hours per week, depending on program needs).
