Job Overview

Leahy Landscaping, Inc., an award‑winning landscape company serving the greater Boston, Essex County, and Southern New Hampshire areas, seeks an experienced machine operator to join our fast‑growing team. Join us for another year of growth and contribute to exceptional residential and commercial projects.

Full‑time, year‑round. Scheduled hours 7 am‑4 pm, Monday‑Friday, with overtime opportunities. Pay $35‑$40 per hour, depending on experience.

• Operate excavators (mini/regular), track machines, back hoes, and dump trucks.
• Perform grading, drainage work, demo, and excavation of hard‑scape bases.
• Transport and operate equipment on various sites, ensuring proper maintenance (cleaning, greasing).
• Work under a Project Manager and collaborate with the crew on‑site tasks.
• Record grading data and assist in site setup.

• Valid driver’s license and Massachusetts Hydraulics license.
• Team player with strong communication and listening skills.
• Self‑motivated, positive attitude, good time‑management.
• Experience operating machinery in a fast‑paced environment.

• Carry out heavy physical work, including lifting a minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly during the workday.
• Operate machinery, exit it when needed, and work outdoors in varied conditions (heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, cold).

• CDL (minimum Class 2A 1C).
