Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The Role:
In this newly created position, you will be the #1 hire for a newly created contract management & procurement department. Initially a stand-alone role, you will have to be a great collaborator as you will have to work collaboratively with development, legal and operations to support and enhance contract management and procurement practices and processes. You'll own all renewable procurement and contracting activity across the pipeline, leading competitive sourcing and contract award for major equipment, EPC and balance-of-plant agreements, with a focus on long-lead, high-value commitments.
You'll negotiate term sheets and definitive agreements alongside Legal and internal SMEs, building and maintaining senior relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors and strategic suppliers.
- 8+ years in contract management and procurement within wind, solar or battery storage industries.
- Must be personable without ego - you are going into a highly collaborative environment where the work is the priority rather than personal credit
- A track record building or scaling a procurement function
- Executive presence to move between portfolio-level strategy and hands-on deal execution
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain, business or finance
- MBA, JD or relevant professional certification
- Experience with project-financed assets, lender requirements, domestic content and tax credit considerations
- Working knowledge of procurement, contract-lifecycle-management or ERP systems
- Background in trade compliance, logistics or supply-chain traceability
