Assistant Store Manager

Compensation

Pay Range: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums, which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution on customer service programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak business hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on individual training.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; notify customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Use electronic purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue accurate refunds; stage returned merchandise in the returns area.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedules, obtain approvals for changes or deviations, and clock in/out correctly.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties: day‑end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, turning on night security lights, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and securing delivery vehicles.
• Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
