Account Manager, Pulp & Paper – Northeast

ABB is seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive growth across our Pulp & Paper business in the Northeast. This role is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key accounts throughout New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maine.

As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will partner with mill leadership, operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify opportunities, develop strategic account plans, and deliver innovative automation and digital solutions that improve productivity and business performance.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts through consultative, value-based selling
  • Develop account plans, forecasts, and sales strategies aligned with customer needs
  • Lead presentations and proposals highlighting the operational and financial benefits of ABB solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences and successful outcomes

  • Quality Control Systems (QCS)
  • Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Paper Machine Drive Systems
  • ABB Ability Digital Solutions and MES
  • Advanced Process Control and Optimization Solutions
  • Upgrades, Retrofits, Service Agreements, and Technical Training
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven success in B2B sales within the Pulp & Paper industry or a related process industry
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence and present effectively to technical and business stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of growing accounts and uncovering new opportunities
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% throughout the territory
