Security Officer Screening Associate – North Andover, MA

In this people‑first role you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. As a Part‑Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles through our Claim a Shift platform. You will help monitor entry points, screen people and items, and support access control procedures. You will remain visible, deter security‑related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication.

Pay Rate: $20.44 / Hour

• Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Saturday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site‑specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security‑related policies for a fast‑paced technology location.
• Screen people, packages, bags, and/or materials entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions, and report irregularities, prohibited items, and/or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and incident documentation, while communicating clearly with site personnel regarding access questions, screening outcomes, and other security‑related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter as directed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
