Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, serving students in grades K-8 in the Mattapan, MA area. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about helping children achieve their fullest potential in academic settings. With a flexible three-day workweek (24 hours weekly), youll have the chance to make a difference over the course of the school year, from August 19, 2026, to June 18, 2027.
KeyQualifications:
- Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapy License (MA OT)
- Experience in school-based OT strongly preferred
- Familiarity with K-8 developmental stages and educational environments
- Knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and goal setting for students
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Conduct assessments and develop interventions for K-8 students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Provide both direct and consultative OT services in classroom and individual settings
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student progress monitoring
