The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in deploying Niagara Framework–based systems and integrating building automation protocols such as BACnet and Modbus. You will be responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems, including other low‑voltage control sub‑systems (i.e., lighting, nurse call, data networks, etc.) to meet the intent of the project requirements. You will be accountable to field teams for quality, timeliness, and efficiency of designs and develop complex software programs and commissioning work to ensure proper operations of the building control system.

You will provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, Johnson Controls field installation team, and subcontractors.

• Design and configure HVAC complex building control systems as defined by the contract documents, creating flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per the project requirements.
• Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned projects.
• Coordinate factory‑mounting processes to meet factory and project schedule.
• Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network‑level controllers as required.
• Assist in validating complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
• Provide field change information to the project team for creation of as‑built drawings and software.
• Keep management, JCI contractor, or customer informed of job progress and issues.
• Assist in performing site‑specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system.
• Participate in the release meeting with the project field team.
• Perform value engineering to provide cost‑effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• May provide work directions to Systems Design Assistants.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
• Demonstrated experience integrating low‑voltage building sub‑systems using various industry protocols (i.e., LON, BACnet, etc.).
• Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non‑technical audience.
• Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly with computer‑related drafting tools.

Hiring Hourly Range: $33–$48. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
