What You Will Do
Under minimal direction, you will lead the Development Team on medium to large projects, managing engineering, field auditing, data analysis, and financial modeling tasks during both preliminary and detailed development phases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform high‑level technical and financial analysis on complex project elements.
- Support the team using the Solutions Playbook and Best Business Practices methodology.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with customers and cross‑functional teams.
- Lead and mentor Staff Engineers and Development Engineers.
- Prepare project budgets, scopes, and detailed engineering and financial analyses.
- Develop energy savings models, cost estimates, and scopes of work for projects ($5M‑$20M).
- Assist in drafting proposals and customer communication documents.
- Conduct on‑site auditing and data collection at customer facilities.
- Present project findings to technical, financial, and C‑level audiences.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and quality deliverables.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and facility managers.
- Stay updated on engineering standards and practices.
- Provide post‑contract design review support as needed.
- Participate in professional organizations and maintain relevant certifications.
Leverage your technical, process, and financial analysis expertise to guide the Development team through design, procurement, and implementation phases.
Key actions include:
- Assist stakeholders in creating customer business cases.
- Lead data collection and analysis for project development.
- Build detailed budgets and scopes of work.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to generate energy savings models.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers at all levels.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Eight or more years of experience designing and selling building systems, energy modeling, construction, or facility management.
- Strong analytical skills and experience managing project development tasks.
- Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, building energy modeling tools (eQuest), and benchmarking tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineering license or equivalent certifications.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience with >30 facility improvement measures.
- Proficiency in dashboard tools and advanced benchmark models.
