Assistant Controller

Our client, a highly successful, multi-entity organization is seeking a dynamic accounting professional to lead all financial operations. This is a high-profile, high-exposure role reporting directly to the CFO, where you will serve as the #2 Finance & Accounting leader in the organization.

• Own the Close Process: Head up the month-end and year-end closing cycles, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce reporting errors.
• Financial Reporting & GAAP: Oversee the generation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring full compliance with GAAP.
• Multi-Entity Consolidations: Manage financial consolidations across multiple corporate entities, tracking and reconciling all intercompany transactions and eliminations.
• Strategic Advisory: Partner directly with the leadership team on corporate financial strategy, cash flow optimization, and working capital management.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Daily Accounting Operations: Direct and support day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, payroll administration, bank reconciliations, and AP/AR workflows.
• Systems & Automation: Identify and champion process improvements, software enhancements, and automation tools to support business scalability.
• Internal Controls: Establish, document, and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• External Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison for banking partners, external auditors, and corporate tax advisors.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field
• 5 years of relevant, progressive experience
• Prior public accounting is strongly desired
• Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills
• Prior management experience is preferred
