Job Description
Assistant Store Manager - responsibilities include achieving the budgeted net sales, providing an exceptional client experience, embodying the brand positioning, and leading the store in the absence of the Store Manager. The role requires upholding core values and leadership qualities, focusing on growth and development.
Day in the Life- Delivering Results – Drive sales by providing an exceptional client experience and supporting sales teams. Partner with the Store Manager to create action plans, strategies to increase sales, expand reach within the community, and curate strong teams. Utilize company training tools and digital platforms.
- Client Experience and Store Culture – Understand the Lilly Pulitzer brand framework, demonstrate the selling culture, and ensure client experience. Resolve client issues, build relationships from greeting through post‑sale contact.
- Leadership – Oversee assigned division, be accountable for results, own the sales floor and team, share inventory and performance feedback with the Store Manager and corporate partners, and communicate initiatives.
- Talent and Team Development – Motivate staff, provide coaching and feedback, approve payroll, assist recruiting, interviews, and onboarding in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Operational Excellence – Take control of day‑to‑day operations in the absence of the Store Manager: personnel, payroll, communication with AM/DM/RM and corporate partners, safeguard assets, maintain visual and operational standards set by Visual and Retail Operations.
- A four‑year college degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience, preferably in fashion or luxury retail.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in fashion or luxury retail.
- Proficiency in achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Ability to develop relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- High level of ownership and responsibility.
- Proficient in Microsoft and Apple technology.
- Prior knowledge of XStore and Tulip a plus.
- Ability to be on feet, maneuver store, lift up to 20 pounds.
Pay Range: $25.25 /hour – $28.25 /hour. Pay is based on multiple factors, including qualifications, experience, geography, and wage laws. Bonus and/or commission and benefits such as healthcare, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and product discounts may also be offered.
BenefitsFull‑time, hourly, non‑exempt position with standard company benefits. Eligible for overtime. Average 40‑hour week; flexible hours may be required for nights, weekends, holidays. Adheres to Company Retail Holiday time off policy.
