Assistant Store Leader of Operations

Position Overview:

The Assistant Store Leader of Operations leads and supports the Store Leader by directing activities required to achieve all store goals, including best‑class guest service, sales objectives, operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandising presentation, while driving both associate and guest engagement.

• Recommends hiring, promotions, and terminations of team members based on performance
• Consistently meets or exceeds store and individual goals, contributing to the store’s overall goals
• Engages guests to make their shopping experience exceptional
• Co‑leads floor sets/refresh management
• Manages and oversees scheduling
• Manages back‑of‑house organization
• Manages shipment and product prep process (steaming, hanging, etc.)
• Plans and manages merchandise markdown process
• Manages supply orders, maintenance, and cleaning
• Manages inventory, damages, audits, banking, and loss‑prevention systems
• Trains new associates on operational processes
• Co‑manages payroll and is responsible for the store’s financial performance
• Controls workflow through successful planning and delegation
• Executes task directives within designated time frames
• Completes opening and closing procedures
• Adheres to loss‑prevention practices and reports potential incidents to protect company assets
• Communicates effectively with the executive team
• Utilizes and manages weekly reporting to track, analyze, and communicate business results and determine strategies to maximize sales
• Interprets home‑office communication through the Store Leader / District Leader partnership
• Partners with the Visual District Leader and Visual Assistant Store Leader to oversee and manage the roll‑out of floor sets, window sets, fixture placement, and overall visual environment
• Maintains awareness of brand aesthetic and relevance to the store environment and communicates with the team
• Communicates performance observations and offers feedback to the District Leader
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 30 lbs)

• 1 year of retail management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, and/or squatting frequently
• May be required to occasionally climb ladders and descend stairs frequently, depending on location
• Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance
