Heritage Bank invites you to join our Lynnwood Branch as a Bank Teller. This part‑time role (Monday‑Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) requires onsite presence in Lynnwood, WA, supporting King and Snohomish Counties and occasionally other counties. The position is on a designated travel team branch.

Overview

As a bank teller, you will provide exceptional customer service, handle routine financial transactions, and support branch sales initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform routine paying/receiving duties and maintain an accurate cash drawer in accordance with assigned authority limits.
  • Promote, explain, and refer bank products and services based on customer needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling customer requests and transactions.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in branch marketing and sales promotions.
  • Contribute to the success of the team by sharing in all branch administrative duties as required and assigned.
Core

Skills and Qualifications
  • Level I:
    Minimum 6 months customer service experience.
  • Level II:
    Minimum 1 year recent cash handling and customer service experience in the financial services industry.
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, proficient computer skills, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Knowledge of DNA or Fiserv software preferred.
  • Combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal banking laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of policies, procedures, and standards relevant to job responsibilities.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Math skills with understanding of debit and credit relationships and negotiable instruments.
  • Ability to gain working knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Proficient reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation, or ability to use alternative transportation when required.
Working Environment & Conditions
  • Climate‑controlled office environment.
  • Requires regular attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule.
  • Exposure to potential risk and hazards associated with criminal activity; receives detailed instruction to minimize risk.
Physical Demands & Effort
  • Continuous use of computer screens, reading reports, and sitting throughout the day.
  • Operating computer keyboard, multi‑line telephone, photocopier, scanner, fax, fine count cash, and cash counter; requires dexterity of hands and fingers with repetitive wrist and hand motion.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time during the shift.
  • Occasional kneeling, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25‑50 lbs. of money and coin or 5‑10 lbs. of files/boxes.
