Edmonds School District Principals develop and implement an effective learning program to improve student performance; continuously assess the learning program (including the curriculum), student performance outcomes, and school climate; create a culturally responsive learning environment inclusive of diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, and linguistic groups needs; create and implement development activities for the building staff; create a collaborative learning environment; provide instructional leadership;
promote high expectations, performance, and achievement from students and staff; promote shared decision making and teamwork; maintain a positive school climate; establish and maintain effective communication with the community, parents, building staff, and central office staff; supervise and evaluate assigned staff; manage the maintenance and use of the physical plant to facilitate the educational program; manage the budget activities for the building following District guidelines and procedures;
and participate in District-level decision-making and articulation activities.
Scriber Lake High School is a small alternative learning high school of approximately 150 students in grades 9-12. Many students attending Scriber Lake are more successful with experiential learning, and classes are offered to meet those needs. Staff strive to create a school where all students learn at very high levels and students who need extra time, attention, and support are provided with the resources they need to learn.
Core to its mission, Scriber Lake High School will ensure that every student becomes a success by helping them identify, develop, and maximize their strengths, skills, and talents.
This position begins the 2026-27 school year. Start date is July 1, 2026.
