Program Specialist 3:
Accommodation Specialist

SALARY: $56,880 - $64,440
LOCATION: Lynnwood, Washington

This position, as a Program Specialist 3, plays a key role on the Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) team. The Program Specialist 3 is responsible for coordinating program services and resources to ensure students with disabilities receive reasonable accommodations and comprehensive support through the completion of their certificate and/or degree. This role involves direct student interaction, evaluation of needs, and acting as a central point of contact for program participants and the broader college community.

This is a classified staff position that reports to the Director of Services for Students with Disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct access interviews with prospective, newly admitted, and currently re-enrolled students who are interested in obtaining disability accommodations
  • Evaluate and interpret student documentation to determine eligibility and reasonable accommodations
  • Serve as an academic advisor and completion coach for SSD students (Manage caseload; monitor progression and completion)
  • Complete all necessary processes to maintain up-to-date student files and ensure accurate data collection
  • Inform students of services available to them for remediation, academic assistance, and other needs
Program Coordination & Administration
  • Provide information and technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff regarding SSD program content, policies, and activities.
  • Complete all necessary processes to maintain up-to-date student files and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Administer institutional quizzes, exams, and placement tests with appropriate accommodations.
  • Assist students with computer applications, assistive technology, and the completion of forms.
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, respond to correspondence, and manage mail for the SSD team.
  • Lead and support SSD Student Programmer
Community Engagement & Development

Promote the SSD program and its resources to outside organizations and the college community. Actively engage in the college community by attending professional development, participating
