Associate Faculty Pool, Music (PT Faculty)

SALARY: A five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94

LOCATION:

Lynnwood Washington

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor
¿ s Degree, or equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience in music or music technology.

* Demonstrated successful teaching experience in music or music technology at the undergraduate level.

* Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.

DESIRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience teaching music at a community college.

* Professional-level music performance experience..

* Evidence of excellence in teaching and focus on student learning.

* Ability to work in a variety of teaching and learning situations, including with individuals from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, diverse ages, life experiences and abilities.

* Experience with the use of learning management systems (Edmonds College uses Canvas as the primary LMS).

* Ability to successfully interact with students, staff, colleagues, and supervisors as part of an educational team.

* Demonstrated enthusiasm for music education and ability to encourage interest in music and the arts.

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Classes and rehearsals meet in Mill Creek Hall on the Edmonds College campus. All spaces are ADA compliant.

COMPENSATION:

The work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94 at Step

A. Special assignments are paid at $45 per hour, and meeting stipends are compensated per the CBA rate, starting at $55 for meetings lasting from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

* You must document your citizenship or employment authorization within three days of hire.

* Criminal background check. Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant
¿ s suitability and competence to perform in the position.

* For education and degrees completed outside of the United States, an independent evaluation approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) is needed before the hiring process will be completed.

* All new positions are contingent upon funding.

* At this time, Edmonds College does not sponsor H1-B Visas.
