About the Position
This job posting is for a general applicant pool, not a specific classroom job vacancy. Your application will be reviewed for placement into an applicant pool for Substitute Teachers. Successful candidates will be required to work with students on-site and in-person (this is not a remote teaching role). This on-call role fills in for absent staff at various school sites across the district.
Pay Rate: 2025-26 School Year: $248-$276 per full day (1-45 days: $248, 46 days+: $276)
Guest Position:
This role involves various shift times and operates on an on-call basis depending on vacancies. Work hours, including start and end times, are subject to change based on district needs. Please note that substitute employment is 'at-will,' and there is no guaranteed minimum of hours or days per week.

Requirements:
* Washington State Teaching Certificate
* 2 Reference Surveys (at least 1 must be from a supervisor)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extensive periods of time. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, or bend. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds (books, files, learning resources, equipment, etc.)
on a regular basis. Exposure to communicable diseases and blood borne pathogens. This position may have interaction with groups of students with complex needs and challenging behaviors. Must be able to withstand physical and emotional stress.
