DESCRIPTIONThe Business Division at Edmonds College provides a variety of programs of study, including transfer degrees, professional-technical degrees, and certificates. This position focuses on the Business Law classes that are an integral part of the Associate in Business Direct Transfer Agreement. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline plus industry experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
- J.D. degree, master's degree in Business, or related discipline and experience.
- Teaching experience at a community college or university.
- Ability to work effectively with populations representing diverse ages, backgrounds, life experiences and abilities.
Work is typically performed in a classroom and laboratory, which requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Instructors typically use a personal computer in the work environment.
COMPENSATIONThe work schedule is based on an eleven-week quarterly schedule and could vary each quarter. Salary is dependent upon contract load and mode of instruction. A standard five-credit "lecture mode" class would be approximately $6,387.94 at Step
A. Special assignments are paid at $45 per hour, and meeting stipends are compensated per the CBA rate, starting at $55 for meetings lasting from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.

Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant’s suitability and competence to perform in the position.
